Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on the 30th of December 1986. Ellie Goulding, a British singer-songwriter who rose to fame in 2010, when her smash singles Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed caught public attention. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding stands out as a contemporary artist due to her soprano voice and talent for writing songs that are both engaging and emotional. Her style is similar to Kate Bush, Imogen Heap and other artists similar to her. Polydor Records eventually signed Goulding to a major record deal.
