Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
Inspired by the shadows she observed on the ground and shadows on the ground, the artist spent months perfecting a technique to express objects in two dimensions onto canvas. If the object is alive or a thing that can be eaten, like fruit and even people and other objects, they are transformed into paintings of themselves. Alexa Meade's works are fleeting however the photograph is the only thing that is left. The painting and the photographic methods are tightly interwoven and result in nothing but a two-dimensional flat space, which achieves trompe-l'oeil. In this, the third dimension is only visible within certain places, such as near the eyes or in hair. Meade occasionally integrates painted models in the space surrounding them. It allows them to be part of the world the artist has constructed. The lines between performance, photography, and installation is thus broken.
